Summer is coming…..yay…..and with it the bugs. Mozzies
etc are kept out with good screens on the doors and windows, but honestly, the
bigger things, like huntsmen and cockroaches turn up on a regular basis, they
seem to ignore the fact that the screen mesh is tiny and they just meander in
and give me the willies.
We have tried all sorts of fly sprays over the years.
Most of them do the job they advertise, but some are really good, and when we
came to this house sit the lady had a couple of cans of Atlas fly spray. Well
it works fast. It really is good stuff, especially on the big things, it
generally will knock a huntsman sideways pretty quickly. The owners of this
house sit left a couple of cans when they went to Europe and once those cans were
empty I looked for more. Well, they are not easy to find. Eventually I found
them at the Aldi store.
Fortunately for us a new Aldi store opened up just down the road. I’ll be sure to leave some full cans behind when we leave at the
end of this month. She’ll need them. The bugs are on the move!
